SAP® EWM
Overview
SAP® EWM is an abbreviation, which stands for SAP Extended Warehouse Management. Within the new release S/4 HANA, it is a warehouse management system with a wide range of services that SAP® provides for inventory management in various specific locations. The SAP® EWM system is used to handle warehouse logistics, as well as the processing of all goods movements. With a contemporary, flexible warehouse management system (WMS), the company can manage a large amount of items while also digitizing and speeding up their warehouse operations.
Storage Bin Management and Optimization

Work Center

Planning and Monitoring
EWM provides with a complete picture of all product movements and warehouse inventories. We can use the system to plan, monitor, and optimize work operations. The broad monitoring functions provide with a real-time picture of all warehouse activity. Individual monitors can be used to control the real work in the warehouse.
Warehouse Control
An interface to external systems is also included in EWM (warehouse control units). Using the Application Link Enabling interface (ALE interface) in the warehouse management system, you can combine automated putaway and stock removal systems, as well as forklift control systems, for all stock movements.
